A stray thought upon reading Marilynne Robinson's Home: people that are reading Wendell Berry should be reading Robinson instead of/in addition to Berry. I'm probably just not versed enough in his work but I'm suspicious of it in a way I'm wasn't by Gilead.
This piece by @jpbrammer.bsky.social was going all over the timeline and for good reason. I too have pushed myself to fight my lack of attention span and get that hyperfocus on prose that I used to have. It's all about finding rhythm and that mixing with the increasing curiosity and then I find much of a day has passed. Time passed and my brain feels way better because of it.
